The timing of the launch of the ClubstoHire.com ecommerce website came about because of several changes in the market place. Airlines began to increase what they charged for additional services including the cost on carrying golf clubs in the hold of airplanes – the additional weight became a factor in the cost of luggage and in turn the cost of fuel.
Quick Brown Fox were commissioned to design and develop an ecommerce website for ClubstoHire.com which became an overnight success. Golfers could hire new clubs at their holiday destination airport cheaper then carrying their own sets on airlines.
With the correct marketing and SEO the site was able to capture a large target audience very quickly.
A key factor in the early success of the site was the wide range of top quality clubs available for hire. The manufacturers embraced the ecommerce website concept and we were able to use their merchandising on the site to support the ClubstoHire brand. Paul McGinley, the sites main sponsor, has been a recognisable supporter of the brand and has endorsed the ecommerce website in advertising and various ongoing promotions.
ClubstoHire.com are recent winners of a 2012 ‘innovation’ award for ‘best service’ at the golf industry awards in Germany hosted by the prestigious Golf Magazin. They also featured on a recent screening of the Dragons Den.
